Gym and preseason

The College gym has been open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (4pm) for the past three weeks, and is due to remain open until the end of June. Attendance has been poor, and if there is a low turnout today, the gym will close for the summer.

Preseason training will resume on Tuesday 3 August at 11.00am, and will then run as follows:

• Tuesday 3 August 1100 - 1300
• Thursday 5 August 1100 - 1300
• Tuesday 10 August 1100 - 1300
• Thursday 12 August 1100 - 1300
• Tuesday 17 August 1100 - 1300
• Thursday 19 August 1100 - 1300; 1400 - 1600
• Tuesday 24 August 1100 - 1300
• Thursday 26 August 1000 - 1700 (beach session incl barbecue)
• Tuesday 31 August 1400 - 1600 (school returns)

Cup postponed, school returns, training Wednesday

As you will be aware, school will now reopen on Tuesday 12 January. Training will take place as normal on Wednesday afternoon, after school, at 1400.

The Vinnie Murray Cup first round has been POSTPONED until Wednesday 20 January 2010.

Snow training

Thank you to all of the 18 souls who trained this morning, and well done to you!

We have, as yet, heard nothing from the Leinster Branch about the first round game against Newpark on Wednesday. We have no idea - yet - when this game will be played. Keep checking this blog: it will be updated as soon as we hear.

We will NOT train on Monday coming, 11/01/10, but we will, on Monday, let you know when the next training session will be: either Tuesday or Wednesday, before returning to school on Thursday.

As with today's session - if you cannot get to training, DON'T WORRY. If you cannot safely get to school, DO NOT TRAVEL.

Training Saturday 09/01/10

Training WILL GO AHEAD as planned on Saturday morning, at 1000. If you cannot make training due to the weather, DO NOT WORRY. If it is not safe to get to the school, DO NOT TRAVEL.

Training today, 6 January is ON for those who can safely make it to Ballinteer. We will be in the gym from 1000, and will check the pitches at 1130 to see if an afternoon session is viable.

Senior Cup Draw

Wesley have been drawn against Newpark in Round One of the Vinnie Murray Cup. If they win that game, they will play the winners of De La Salle Churchtown v St Patrick's Navan in the 1/4-final.

The Wesley Juniors have to meet CBC in a league play-off this week. The winner will face Newbridge in the Junior Cup, while the loser will play in a Fr Godfrey Cup 1/4-final against Roscrea.

Dates for these fixtures will follow soon.
